Maile Terrace - General Info & Sold Data

  • Address: 1323 & 1403 Makiki St, Honolulu, HI 96814.
  • Built in 1971, with 8 stories and 88 units of 1 & 2BR floor plans.
  • Amenities: None.
  • Pets: Ok (verify).
  • Interesting: Cartwright Neighborhood Park is just across the street!

Maile Terrace is made up of 2 buildings that face each other with a parking lot between them. The mauka building (1403 Makiki) is the taller of the two, 7 stories in height, the makai (1323 Makiki) rising only 3, but it is longer. Those aren't the only differences.

Most of the residences across the entire complex of this Honolulu condo are 2BR/1BA, measuring 642 sq ft in the mauka property and either 841 or 892 sq ft in the makai. In addition, the 1403 residences do not have lanais, while you'll find outside spaces of 125 sq ft on the 1323 side.

Views from the 1403 building, however, are better because of the extra floors. You can look across the cityscape and its lights every night or up to the Koolau Mountains whose green shades are so deep you can get lost looking at them.

One of built-in benefits of your address are your neighbors. The next lot mauka is occupied by Hawaiian Mission Academy. Behind them? Jodo Mission of Hawaii. They guarantee you low-rise buildings and little noise, outside of maybe some low levels during school hours. Then there's Cartwright Neighborhood Park.

Cross Maikiki St and you're in the park. Basketball court, baseball field, playground and open grass to relax or picnic on. There's also at least one i9 keiki soccer league who plays here, taking a lot of the work out of being a parent of an active child.

H1, East or West, is 5 minutes away, sometimes less, for Downtown commutes or getting around Honolulu as quick as possible. Using Keeaumoku St, a block from you will take you in 2 minutes to Beretania or King Streets, another way Downtown and back. Or you can keep driving only a few minutes more and pull in to WalMart/Sams Club or go right into the parking lot for Ala Moana Center. Endless shopping, dining choices and pau hana entertainment right there.

You get a pretty good menu of choices at Maile Terrace. We haven't even mentioned yet the 3 grocery stores and 2 drug stores you have 5 minutes from home. This is a place you need to dive into deeper to see all the advantages it has. It's ready when you are.
