Originally from Seoul, South Korea, Suhyun earned her Master’s degree from New York University and developed a professional background in research and planning through work in both Seoul and New York.
Having lived in Korea, China, the UK, and the United States, she brings a broad and practical perspective shaped by experience across multiple countries and major cities. Her decision to settle in Hawaii was guided by long-term considerations around quality of life, community, and family - priorities shared by many clients purchasing second homes or relocating to Hawaii.
Suhyun focuses extensively on luxury condos and new construction in Ward Village and Kakaako, including both established towers and projects still under development.
She helps clients understand the real differences between buildings - layout efficiency, building orientation, privacy, and how views and surroundings are likely to change over time as the neighborhood continues to evolve. Her guidance emphasizes long-term livability and value, particularly important in a master-planned area where future development directly affects outlook and overall desirability.
In Ala Moana, Suhyun works with clients across existing luxury buildings and newer high-end developments. She provides clear comparisons between buildings, focusing on practical considerations such as unit positioning, convenience, and how Ala Moana living differs from both Ward Village and Waikiki in terms of daily lifestyle and use.
Suhyun specializes in luxury residences and high-end condo-hotels in Waikiki. She has a strong understanding of short-term rental and vacation-use rules and can guide clients on which buildings allow which types of use, including differences between residential condos and condo-hotel structures.
Her role is to help clients evaluate suitability and restrictions at the building level, so expectations around use and flexibility are clear from the start.
In addition to condos, Suhyun has strong familiarity with luxury single-family homes across Honolulu. She regularly advises clients considering high-end residential neighborhoods such as Diamond Head, Kahala, Hawaii Loa Ridge, Portlock, and other established luxury areas.
She clearly explains the character, advantages, and trade-offs of different neighborhoods, as well as the practical differences between house living and condo living - privacy, space, maintenance responsibilities, convenience, and daily lifestyle considerations - helping clients determine which option best fits how they plan to live in Hawaii.
Suhyun is married and is a parent to a child attending Punahou School. This gives her firsthand perspective on family life in Hawaii, including how neighborhood choice can affect daily routines and schooling. She is able to share practical insight on location considerations and school environments in a clear, grounded way that is helpful for families relocating to Hawaii.
Her role extends well beyond closing. Many clients rely on her for continued support after purchase, including coordinating furnishings, setting up services, and helping establish daily life in Hawaii. She is known for patience, clarity, and consistent follow-through, and for providing attentive support well after the transaction is complete.
