The Beach Villas at Kahaluu, sometimes called Kahaluu Beach Villas, is directly across the street from Kahaluu Beach Park, the condos as close as 150 yards from the water.
These one to three bedroom condos have interiors that measure from 565 to 1,100 Sq Ft with one lanai exterior. There are three each of the one and three bedroom layouts and sixteen of the two bedrooms. The bedrooms and living areas have cornices running around the rooms at the top of the walls, which also hold some of the lighting in them.
Each unit has at least one unassigned, uncovered parking space to use. The interiors are cooled by central air conditioning, an uncommon feature in Kona. Washer/Dryer is inside every condo. There is an elevator but only in Building 2 (the inland building). Building 1, which fronts onto Alii Dr, is a walk-up.
Most residences have peekaboo to partial ocean views from them, the best outlooks being from Building 1.

Cross Alii Dr and you’re at
Kahaluu Beach Park, without having to fight for parking. Tourists and locals alike flock here for some of the best snorkeling in Kona and maybe the Big Island. The shoreline is rocky, especially in the approach to the water, but smooth. Once in you can stay in the shallow waters and still see all kinds of tropical fish and sea life around you, including sea turtles. This is also a surfer’s beach. Depending on the conditions, the waves can be good for beginners to learn on or can get to the heights of 4 – 6 feet that are more for experienced riders.
