Kailua Bay Resort sits right in the heart of Kailua-Kona, next door to a number of local shopping centers, but also just 1/6 mile from the ocean.
The one and two bedroom condos have interiors of 663 Sq Ft to 1,540 Sq Ft with one or two lanais exterior. There are sixty nine one bedrooms, making up the vast majority of the properties here. The twenty five two bedroom residences, found exclusively on the third floor of the buildings, all have a loft. That upper level has the master bedroom and bathroom as well as a storage room in it.
Building 3 has the only three bedroom unit, which holds in its downstairs the kitchen, living/dining area, one bedroom, bathroom and a lanai. Upstairs are the other two bedrooms, including the master, a bathroom, a second lanai and a loft.

Amenities & Things To Do The trip to
Kamakahonu Beach is approx. ½ mile and you can jump or wade right in because these are protected waters, almost always safe from big waves. One place you can swim to is the reef that is not too far from the beach itself. Home to a huge variety of ocean life, you can get right up to see the tropical fish, octopus and sea turtles going about their day.
The massive
Kailua Pier sits right along Kamakahonu Beach, its elevated platform often being used for festivals and local celebrations. At sunset head to the end and get a great view as the day ends with a burst of colors.
If you head further west you’ll find the
Old Kona Airport State Recreation Area. A mile from your home is this massive state park that contains beautiful coastline and green spaces, baseball & soccer fields, a gym and an aquatic center. Run by the county, it has almost everything any active person would want.
