Keauhou Punahele has a very cloistered location, starting with the

Keauhou Bay Beach Park, with a small beach area, but good swimming and some excellent snorkeling spots on the north side of the bay. There are ramps and other access points to put in your boat or stand up paddle board easily. Just be aware of the water traffic, especially if swimming, since it can be busy sometimes.
Your local mall,
Keauhou Shopping Center, sits 1 ¼ miles from your home, with shops and eating options to choose from here. Your most common visits here will probably be for groceries or to the drug store, where a lot of the common needs can be taken care of easily.
