Liona Kona is located in the main area of Kailua-Kona town, 1/3 of a mile from the coastline.
These one to three bedroom condos have interiors spanning 663 to 1,548 Sq Ft with one or two lanais. Currently, there are only two one bedroom and twelve two bedroom floor plans, but it should be noted that five residences were converted over the years from one to two bedroom layouts. That leaves the one three bedroom, which is also the sole two-story unit in the complex.
The building is elevated, so the street level is used for covered parking underneath, each unit having one or two assigned spaces there. The Liona stands out from most of its neighbors by having central air conditioning throughout every condo. Washer and Dryer are in all units as well. This is a walk-up building, so there is no elevator.
A very few of the residences have peekaboo to partial ocean views from them.
Amenities & Things To Do Being in this central area puts you close to a few recreational options and one of the best is
Kamakahonu Beach, less than a mile away. Although not a huge beach, it is decent sized and most come here for the calm waters, due to the protected cove it sits in here. Swimmers have few problems in these tamer swells and, if you go a little further out, there are some excellent snorkeling spots as well.
Kailua Pier, right next to it, provides the space for local festivities and events throughout the year and watching the sunset from it is a local tradition.
For something even closer,
Hale Halawai Beach Park is about ½ from your home. There’s very little sand, but you can go down to the shoreline and explore the tidepools, just wear beach shoes if you do. The park itself is a beautiful oceanfront retreat with a large pavilion that sometimes is the site for concerts and events.
