Manoa Farmers Market

Another one on the small side, you need to go into Manoa Valley to get to this market. Manoa is a beautiful neighborhood, filled with old Hawaii homes and a lot of greenery, due to the rain that falls practically every day back here. If you’re a traveler who likes to see parts of Honolulu that few visitors encounter, this is should be on your list. Though there aren’t a lot of booths, the people are very friendly and you can take your time browsing, something you don’t alway get at the busier events. Flowers and plants are often for sale, but not every time, so try your luck if you’re into that side of things. The tents are set up inside Manoa Marketplace, which includes Long’s Drugs & Safeway. You can do more shopping inside when you’re done looking outside, including some shops that feature local crafts and, yes, local food. This can also be a stop to either stock up or refill on the way to/from Manoa Falls, which is all the way in the back of the valley. The Marketplace has a large lot, so parking usually isn’t too hard.
