Puu Poa is an oceanfront community in Princeville, sitting on a bluff above
Hideaway Beach.
Its two bedroom condos have interiors ranging from 1,352 to 2,079 Sq Ft with either two lanais or one lanai and an atrium. The largest residences are on the first floor, the floor plans on this level often featuring sunken living rooms. Each unit has one assigned, uncovered stall for parking.
Ceiling fans are inside every residence, with many owners adding split a/c systems over the years. The buildings are all walk-ups, so there are no elevators in the complex. Every condo faces directly out at the Pacific, giving you completely unobstructed ocean views, outside of a few palm trees on the lawn.
Amenities & Things To Do Hideaway Beach, which lies just below you, earns its name due to the small hike you have to get there and its secluded feel. Also called Pali Ke Kua Beach, it has everything – views, waters that welcome swimming and snorkeling and, due to the hike, there are never a lot of other people here. The trail down does get steep in places and, if it has rained recently, can be slippery. Tread carefully.
Puu Poa Beach is another, easier to access, choice about 1/3 mile west of you. This is the longest beach in Princeville and has a protective reef that keeps the waters calmer. The reef also is an excellent snorkeling spot and, at higher tides, the swimming is good as well. Puu Poa Beach is reached by a path beside
Hanalei Bay Resort, but it does not have the steepness of Hideaway’s trail.
If a hike isn’t attractive, your community pool and deck looks out at the ocean so you can enjoy a dip and a view without much trouble.
