Life in Kihei
The 6 miles of Kihei’s coastline has about a dozen beaches, including the longest one on Maui, 2.5 miles, in Sugar Beach. There’s snorkeling, swimming and surfing spots to fit every skill level and the sands are prime seats for whale watching season.

The beach parks are also where you’ll find outlets for exercise and activity on land. The Kamaole Beach Loop is made for jogging or walking beside the water and there are 10 municipal tennis courts, 4 at Kalama Beach Park & 6 at Waipuilani Park.

Food is a local Hawaii passion, so you’ll find many restaurants and take-out places to try out. Delicious local dishes & seafood can be eaten in Nalu’s South Shore Grill or from the Kinaole Grill Food Truck.

There’s also the deceptive appearances of Miso Phat Sushi & Nutcharee’s Thai Food restaurants that look small, but the lines are always big.
