Papakea Resort is an oceanfront community in Honokowai, its residences as close as 30 yards from the Pacific.
This project was built in two phases, the initial two hundred & sixteen residences in the first one and then one hundred & forty-eight more were added in the second. The eleven buildings are laid out in two side-by-side V-shapes, with the open middle areas facing the coastline.
The studio to two bedroom condos have interiors ranging from 435 to 1,240 Sq Ft with one lanai exterior. Some of the two bedrooms have a loft of either 262 or 365 Sq Ft, which can be used as a third bedroom. Overall, there are thirty-six studios, two hundred & twenty-four one bedrooms and one hundred & four of the two bedroom floor plans.
Although the property converted to Fee Simple, a few units are still Leasehold, the lease expiring in 2041. Each unit has one assigned, uncovered parking space to use. Ceiling fans are throughout the living areas and bedrooms, with owners adding split a/c systems in some residences. Washer/Dryer is inside every condo. That also creates the perfect conditions for a little swimming and it even has some snorkeling spots where you can watch tropical fish and other ocean life go by. On the shore is a large open grassy space that holds two playgrounds, BBQs, picnic tables and large, shady trees so the entire family can enjoy the day.
