Sky Ala Moana is a unique project consisting of two towers: a Residential Tower and a Hotel Tower - the first of its kind in Honolulu.
This is a review of the Residential Tower where units will be offered for sale very soon.
Sales: Market priced units official sales expected to commence spring 2019. Sales of affordable units (Flats) will start at a later stage (no date determined).
'Sky Terrace' (the amenity deck in the residential tower) will be located on the 8F.
Parking: The residential parking garage will be located on the 4F to 7F (access via gate, requiring a fob) and there will be 30 guest parking stalls (located on 2nd or 3rd floor) and also 428 bike stalls. The 2F & 3F will have parking for the ground floor commercial spaces and hotel. The parking area will also hold 10 ride sharking parking stalls.
Commercial: Located on the ground level - about 17,500 sf.
The Residence Tower will have 11 units on each floor - 6 x 2 BR with balcony and 5 x 1 BR with balcony. On the 8F - the Sky Terrace level (amenity floor) there are 5 unique units - 4 x 2BR and 1 x 1BR - each with a large patio ranging from 121 to 520sf. These 5 units will have a gate with direct access to all the amenities located on the same floor.
The Balconies: 73 to 100 sf in size with 5' 8" to 6' 1" in depth, making them very usable.
Ceiling Height: 8' 4.5" for standard units. 8F (Sky Terrace level) and the 43F penthouse will have 11' ceiling heights.
The amenity deck will be just short of 1.25 acres (likely around ~50,000 sf total) and will have a section exclusive to the Residential Tower, which includes 3 unique rooms:
The other section of the amenity deck - the hotel's amenities - allows occupants in the Residential Tower access, and the hotel side will be responsible for paying 60% of the costs to maintain this section of the amenity deck. It includes two pools: One is a 68 ft lap pool and the other is a heated salt water pool (set to 82 degrees) and is fairly comparable in size and shape to the pool at Waihonua. It also includes a 2,600 sf gym with outdoor space, a yoga room, his & her spas, his & her steam rooms, his & her saunas, several barbaque cabanas, a great lawn (30 x 90 ft) & more.
The beautiful white kitchen countertop is a Silestone Quartz (high quality Quartz material from Spain), kitchen appliances are Bosch and cabinet are smooth soft closing. The backsplash in the kitchen is unique penny round style, which can be upgraded / changes to larger tiles at no additional costs. Standard units come with tile by entry and in the kitchen with carpet throughout living and bedrooms. There will most likely be an option to upgrade flooring to wood flooring.
Sky Ala Moana is conveniently located in the center of Honolulu, near endless shopping at Ala Moana Shopping Centers, restaurants and a short stroll to the beach.
