Alii Cove is a gated community that fronts onto Alii Dr, right across the street from Honl’s Beach, just south of downtown Kailua-Kona. Thirty-seven buildings are on the property, made up of eleven fourplexes and twenty-six that hold six units each.
The one to three bedroom condos have interiors of 1,014 to 1,815 Sq Ft with one lanai on the outside. In all, there are one hundred and four of the two bedroom layouts and ninety-six three bedrooms. Amenities & Things To Do From the front gate, only the width of Alii Dr separates you from
Honl’s Beach. Even if it is a smaller beach, it is a soft, sandy bed on the coastline, which isn't as plentiful on the Big Island. You can cross over to Honl’s almost any time you want and take in the scenery. As any local knows, boogie boarding was invented in this very place, so getting out for a few rides is almost required. It can get too strong out there to swim, so take a good look at the swells before you enter the water.
¾ mile to the north, next door to
Kona Inn Shopping Village, is
Hale Halawai Park. An oceanfront green space, its centerpiece is a large pavilion where cultural events, performances and festivals are held regularly. You have an access point to the coastline here, too, where you can visit the tidepools and have some time by the bay.
