Islander On The Beach sits on beachfront property that puts some of its residences within 65 yards of the ocean.
The studio and one bedroom condos have interiors measuring from 372 to 498 Sq Ft with one lanai exterior. At most only about three or four one bedrooms are here, the other ~98% being studio layouts. Because these are purely hotel unit layouts, you just have a kitchenette, consisting of a sink, mini refrigerator and, in some cases, a microwave.
There is an uncovered parking lot, but it has only about 150 spaces in all, less than the number of units, so it is on a first come, first served basis.
Split A/C systems are in every condo for cooling the interior. A coin laundry facility is on-site, but reserved for use by owners and guests who book through Aston Resorts. These are all walk-up buildings, so there are no elevators in the complex.
Aston Resorts runs the front desk and daily operations for the hotel program, which owners can opt into if they choose.
Most of the condos have peekaboo to what are almost completely unobstructed ocean views, reduced only by the line of palm trees along the shoreline.
Amenities & Things To Do Waipouli Beach is right off the lawn of your property, a visit to the shoreline being a matter of a few yards from your door. If you head to the area even with the southernmost Islander building, Molokai, the ocean bed is sandy there for a good distance. There you can wade in comfortably or do some swimming without having to look constantly around for rocks. Waipouli Beach is known to have stronger swells at times, so use a cautious approach before you head in. It’s still a great place to lay on the sands beside the soothing Pacific scenery.
If you’re determined to get into the water, you have, right on the property, the
Ke Ala Hele Makalae path that stretches 8.5 miles on this coastline. Take it north to find calmer conditions on Waipouli Beach or to
Fuji Beach, which has a natural breakwater shielding it from the big waves. Or follow the path south to
Lydgate Beach Park, where there are two enclosed ocean pools that provide safe swimming and wading, as well as a massive kids playground, providing something for all ages to enjoy.
