The Kauai Kailani is a beachfront property in Kapaa, with residences that are as close as 35 yards from the ocean.
The two buildings were originally built in 1969, but were extensively renovated from 2013 to 2015. During that time much was changed and improved, including some of the amenities. Certain units were expanded from two to three bedrooms, while completely new ones were created from what were previously commercial & storage spaces. The one to three bedroom condos have interiors of 590 to 1,065 Sq Ft with one lanai exterior.
Parking is a mix due to thirty-five of the stalls being sold outright to individual owners, leaving sixteen unassigned spaces for use by the remaining units. Ceiling fans are found throughout the living areas and bedrooms, with some had split a/c systems added by the owner. Washer/Dryer is inside every condo. There is an elevator in the oceanfront Orchid (‘A’) Building, while the inland Plumeria building is walk-up only.
Castle Resorts runs the hotel program for owners who choose to opt-in to it.
The back building units have mountain and garden views, while the oceanfront building residences have wide angle, partial ocean views, with just a few palm trees keeping them from being completely unobstructed.
Amenities & Things To Do The property fronts right onto
Waipouli Beach where you can kick back on the sand and watch the surf at any time you like. It is rocky in the waters here and the waves can be strong sometimes, so caution should be used before going in for a swim.
Despite that, Waipouli Beach goes for some distance both to the north and the south of your home, so you can often find more welcoming conditions not too far off. The best way to do that is taking the
Ke Ala Hele Makalae path that is right on the edge of your lawn. It goes for 8 ½ paved miles on the coastline and goes right by many different beaches and scenic spots where you can stop off. That includes
Fuji Beach, north of you a little over ½ mile, where a natural breakwater maintains a calm spot that swimmers head to particularly if the surf is up elsewhere. They know if there’s one place to get in on a day like that, it’s here.
