Kalaheo Pali Kai is the only condo community located in the
town of Kalaheo, about 3.5 miles from the southern coastline of Kauai. The community’s seventeen buildings are divided between two streets –
Ikena Pl and
Kalaheo Dr – that both end in cul-de-sacs. The pair of streets are separated by a ravine that is covered in thick tropical forest. Each residence is surrounded by this same type of forest on at least two sides, insulating the homes from outside noise and traffic.
Nine of the buildings hold four townhomes, seven contain just two, with just one that has three in it. The three bedroom townhomes have interiors of 1,205 or 1,265 (end units) Sq Ft with two large lanais, one on each floor, that add either 366 or 376 Sq Ft outside. Built against hillside terrain, the entrance is on the upper level, which has vaulted ceilings and holds the living & dining areas and one bathroom. On the lower level there are two bedrooms and another bathroom. Outside the back there is a private fenced patio or yard space also.
You have two assigned, uncovered parking spaces for your vehicles. Ceiling fans are built-in throughout the interiors, with some having a split a/c system installed by the owner. Washer/Dryer is inside every townhome. There are a number of residences here that have peekaboo to partial ocean views from them.
Amenities & Things To Do For a variety of recreation options nearby, the best choice is 1.5 miles north of you at
Kalawai Park. This 16 acre County Park has three baseball/softball fields, a soccer field, basketball full-court and two lighted tennis/pickleball courts. It also has walking/running trails for those who want to get in some exercise or just some quiet time outside. A playground is there for the kids along with a lot of open green space for both you and the little ones to enjoy.
Closer to home, at 1.2 miles away, you also have
Kukuiolono Park, another public property. It is known for its walking and jogging paths, one of which goes through a beautiful Japanese garden, complete with fountains, statues and a meditation pavilion. A paved trail goes out from that area to a bluff where you can look out to the shoreline south and west of here. On the lower section of the park there’s even more, such as a particularly popular trail that goes through a forest of ironwood and eucalyptus trees. This is also home to a
nine-hole public golf course that has a clubhouse, where you’ll find a restaurant if you want to get a bite in these beautiful surroundings.
