Amenities & Things To Do Across Kauai Veterans Memorial Hwy from you is one of the centers of Lihue life,
Vidinha Stadium. It’s ½ mile to the official entrance to it, by way of the streets, but that distance can be cut dramatically if you walk or bike. Along with many sports events, Vidinha Stadium is the default location for larger concerts and festivals. The Kauai Farm Fair, a four day celebration of local life, happens here as does the annual July Fourth festivities and fireworks show, which you can watch up close from home.
A beach trip is easy as well, with just one mile between your door and
Kalapaki Beach. Known for its manageable waters, due to an offshore breakwall, this is where many get their first experience of surfing and paddle boarding. These are also the right conditions for a pleasurable swim, free of overwhelming waves, or just some wading around with the kids. There are equipment rentals right off the beach, so you can try out kayaking, boogie boarding or just about anything else aquatic, without having to haul anything here or back.
