Alaeloa is a gated, oceanfront community in Napili, the homes sitting as close as 10 yards from the water. This is a unique, Old Hawaii collection of low-rise residences that has the tropical peace and quiet that’s getting harder to find on Maui.
These two to five bedroom residences have interiors that measure from 1,126 to 4,000 Sq Ft with one lanai on the outside. In all, the property has thirty-four two bedrooms, five three bedrooms and three four bedrooms.
There are three general floor plans on the property: - Standalone two bedroom cottages with a 390 Sq Ft lanai and a single-space carport.
- Duplex townhomes with both bedrooms upstairs. These have one 200 Sq Ft lanai and a single-space carport.
- Duplex units in single-level cottage that has one lanai of either 303 or 390 Sq Ft and a single-space carport.
Please note that these are Leasehold properties, the lease set to expire in 2059.
A short driveway on most of these allows room for a second car to park directly behind the one in the carport. Ceiling fans are a standard feature in the interiors, with some also having a split a/c system that the owner has installed. Washer/Dryer is inside every home.
Many of these residences have peekaboo to completely unobstructed ocean views from them.
Amenities & Things To Do The coastline beside the neighborhood is primarily rocky, but with several places where you can sit or stand on land to enjoy the view, though. The one exception is a
small beach on the north end of the property in front of the swimming pool. It’s sandy here seasonally, so it’s not always the place for sunbathing. However, this is where you can get into the water for a little swimming or to get some wading in near the shore.
One of the most popular beaches on this coast, though, is less than ¾ mile north of you.
Napili Bay Beach is a long bed of sand that you can lay back on and relax. No rocks. These waters remain fairly calm due to the reef protecting them, bringing many here to swim, paddle board or just get in the ocean with the kids. It also has a few excellent snorkeling spots to view tropical fish, sea turtles and all kinds of underwater life in their natural habitat.
Just above the north end of this beach you have the start of the
Kapalua Coastal Trail to walk or jog on along the coast for 3.4 miles roundtrip. Take in the scenery or stop off at one of the beaches you’ll pass right by on the trail.
