Kuhale Kapahulu sits in the southwest corner of Kaimuki, on the coastal side of H-1, tucked behind buildings that front onto Kapahulu, insulating it from traffic and noise. While it does sit beside H-1, there is a buffer of approx. 100 feet of greenery-covered land between and the highway runs at a level several feet below that of the neighborhood around it.
