The gated Waikoloa Colony Villas lie at the northern end of the
Waikoloa Beach Resort, with the Kings Hwy Foot Trail on its east end and the

Due to a reef that provides some protection, the ocean is calmer here, making it a great place for snorkeling and swimming. Although Waikoloa Resort doesn’t have a lot of sandy beaches, you still have excellent shoreline spots like
Buddha’s Point, about ½ mile west of you, that is a prime location for whale watching.
Also less than a mile away is the
Queen’s Marketplace, with almost fifty shops and restaurants, along with a three screen movie theater. It’s also where the outdoor Waikoloa Bowl is, the local live entertainment venue. The
King’s Shops, with 40 more stores and eateries is just a little further on.
