Maui Sands I sits on beachfront property, some of its residents living only about 15 yards from the ocean. The six buildings form a rough U-shape, with the base on the inland side and a courtyard in the middle holding the pool. Two buildings have twelve units, while the other four have eight inside them. Their one and two bedroom condos’ interiors span from 562 to 888 Sq Ft with one lanai on the exterior. Overall, there are forty of the two bedrooms and sixteen of the one bedroom floor plans.

The one bedroom condos have interiors of either 602 or 638 Sq Ft with one lanai of 102 Sq Ft on the exterior.

Each unit has one assigned, uncovered parking stall for their use. Ceiling fans are inside both the living area and the bedroom for cooling on warmer days. Washer/Dryer is in most, but not all of the condos. There is no laundry facility on-site. This is a walk-up building, there is no elevator here. Although a sister property, residents and guests here do not have use of Maui Sands I amenities.
Some residences have ocean views ranging from peekaboo to almost completely unobstructed except for a very few palm trees.
Amenities & Things To Do At the very end of your property is Honokowai Beach where, at lower tides, you can sit on the sand with nothing but the Pacific in front of you. There is some rock to get past on the bed, but just past it is sand carpeted waters. You can swim around here comfortably or go a little farther toward the horizon to the reef. If you do so, make sure your snorkeling gear is with you because there’s a lot of ocean life to see, from tropical fish to sea turtles and maybe even some octopus.
From the water in front of your home, you could swim the 350 yards, at most, north to
Honokowai Beach Park. The reef extends up here as well, so you have the same calm conditions here as down by your lot. Along with more water to explore and enjoy, there is a large green space as well, that has two playgrounds to occupy the kids, as well as picnic tables and BBQs for a day out.
