Waipouli Beach Resort is a beachfront community in
Kapaa, with some residences sitting within 40 yards of the ocean.
Buildings A – F are connected together, while G & H, which are on the southern, oceanfront side of the resort are both freestanding. The studio to two bedroom condos’ interiors measure from 323 to 1,465 Sq Ft with one to three lanais exterior. Overall, there are one hundred and forty-eight two bedrooms and fifty of the one bedroom floor plans. The other six are studios and are strictly hotel room layouts, so they do not have a kitchen.
Each unit has one unassigned, uncovered space for their parking. Central air conditioning is standard throughout the resort. Washer/Dryer is inside every condo, except for the studios. There are elevators for residents on the upper floors in every building. A solar pv system provides some of the power for the common areas, reducing the monthly bills for the owners association.
Outrigger Resorts runs the front desk and daily operations, including the hotel program that owners can opt into if they choose.
Most of these residences have partial to completely unobstructed ocean views from them.
Amenities & Things To Do For those who want the vacation lifestyle on a daily basis, Waipouli Beach Resort provides it:
- Lazy River Pool that has water slides, waterfall features and a sandy beach for kids
- Three sand-bottomed hot tubs
- Fitness Center with ocean view
- A selection of restaurants, including one that is oceanfront
- Full service spa/salon and more.
It’s an easy and quick trip to step onto
Waipouli Beach, which stretches right in front of your home. From here on Kauai’s eastern coastline you can watch the sunrise or see if a monk seal has come on shore to rest, which they often do here. Beside the resort it is rocky in the water, so swimming should be done cautiously and after considering the current conditions of the surf. That’s not a huge problem since Waipouli Beach stretches for miles both south and north of here, so finding a more hospitable place to wade in isn’t difficult on most days.
One easy way to do that is taking the
Ke Ala Hele Makalae path that runs for 8 ½ miles along the coast, including in front of the resort. It’s also a jogging, walking and biking trail that takes you right beside some stunning Kauai scenery.
