Kuilei Place is a proposed new condo project in an area we broadly refer to as Kapiolani, although the neighborhood is technically called Moilili. The project, to be located at 2599 Kapiolani Blvd covering a total of 3.1 acres across several parcels, is expected to break ground late 2023 with a completion sometime in 2026. 

 


Residences
Kuilei Place will have a total of 1,005 residences of which 402 are market-rate units and 603 are affordable housing units. There will be a 43 story tower and a 12 story structure for residential units. The 12 story structure will also have commercial space on the ground level - runs along Kapiolani Blvd.

Amenities
Most amenities - pool, dog parks, children's playground, BBQ cabanas etc - will be on the ground level with the exception of 2 Club Rooms on the 43rd Penthouse level, of which one of the Club Rooms will have a Karaoke Room included too.

Process
Market Rate Units
From Feb 3, 2023 to April 4, 2023 (60 days) the market rate units are only available to purchase for prospective owner occupants who are also Hawaii residents. 

 

Prospective Buyers must turn in an affidavit package, which confirms the intent to occupy the property as an owner occupant for at least 1 year from completion. Prospects who turn in the package by no later than March 5, 2023 will participate in a lottery, expected to take place a few days after March 5, 2023. Packages turned in between March 6, 2023 to April 4, 2023 will place prospects in back up on a first come first serve basis, but won't be able to participate in the lottery. All applications will be submitted online. 

 

Any units that may not be sold by April 4, 2023 is open for anyone to purchase, including investors and non Hawaii residents. 

 


 


Affordable Units
These units are only available for Hawaii residents who intent to occupy as their primary residence. Additionally, there are certain income restrictions and other requirements in order to qualify. The first seminiar explanining about eligibility requirements will take place at Hawaii Convention Center Feb 19, 2023, which is also the first date applicants can submit their application. Deadline to submit applications is April 16, 2023 and we expect relatively soon after the lottery will take place. All applications will be submitted online.
