Honokeana Cove is a gated, oceanfront community in Napili, with some residences within 5 yards of the water.
The one to three bedroom condos have interiors measuring from 517 – 1,360 Sq Ft with one to five lanais on the outside. All of the residences have a single lanai, with only a couple of exceptions. One is a two story, two bedroom that has five lanais (#120) and the other is a two story, three bedroom that has four (#220). A loft is in the units on the second floor that is used as a bedroom.
Each unit has one assigned, uncovered stall for parking. Ceiling fans are throughout the living areas and the bedrooms. There are two separate structures - one on the north side, one on the south - that each hold a community coin laundry facility. There is an on-site property manager as well as a vacation rental office for owners who opt for that.
Most of the condos have peekaboo to completely unobstructed ocean views from them.
Amenities & Things To Do Honokeana Bay is one of the historic six sacred bays of this coastline, associated most with
Chief Piilani, who, in the 1500s, ruled these lands and would unite all of Maui under him. That bay, which sits against your property, is still loved for its clear waters and beauty. Many love it most for the great snorkeling, the cove counting at least a dozen sea turtles who live here and can be seen sometimes from the lanais on shore. You can get in for a refreshing swim as well, but both the shoreline and the ocean bed here is rock, so wading is not recommended.
That’s not a big disappointment since it’s only about ¼ mile north to be at
Napili Bay Beach, with its sandy beach and waters. A very popular part of the coastline, it's long enough not to feel too crowded most days and the reef nearby keeps the surf down. This is a place to do it all, or close to it, from swimming & snorkeling to boogie boarding & kayaking. If even this isn’t enough, off the north end of Napili Bay is the
Kapalua Coastal Trail, which takes you along the coastline by more of the local beaches and fantastic scenery every step of the way.
