Makiki Vista is a good name for this
Honolulu condo as it rises up in the midst of plantation style homes that have anchored this neighborhood for decades as well as other low-rise residences. That results in clear views around you, taking in the green Koolau Mountains, the city lights that set the perfect tone for the tropical nights and, for some, peek-a-boo ocean views!
All of the homes are 1BR/1BA, but with a huge range of sizes from 556 to 1043 sq ft(!). On top of that you have lanais that span a further 72 to even 385 sq ft(!!). Those lucky residents with that 385 sq ft space outside also have a private entrance from it, providing a nice extra for convenience or privacy.
One other thing – even the units with smaller outside spaces often have it on 2 different lanais, a nice bonus for those who like having their own special retreat.
Living on the corner Hassenger & Piikoi means H1, East and West, is 5 minutes or less from your home, making commuting or just going on a drive around the Island much easier.
Being near to Beretania & King Streets gives you another commuting option, but it also means Safeway, Times, Foodland, Walgreens & Petco in the Easy column for almost any errand. Travel time to these resources is only 5 or 6 minutes in your car.
For those who'll be using Petco, you should know that Makiki Vista's pet policy does not have a weight limit, so bring the St. Bernard if you have one.
When pau hana arrives, you'll find your location beside Pensacola St is a stroke of good luck. All you have to do is drive straight makai on this one-way road and it takes you directly to Kakaako and all the new dining, entertainment and shopping attractions here. Almost next door is Ala Moana Center, the place where serious shoppers head for a fun day out.
Then head home on the also one-way path of Piikoi St, which gets you almost the entire way home. Then you can sit back & relax on your lanai, or you might even be able to say 'on one of my lanais'. That's the life!
