About Regency Ala Wai If you like the idea of being in Waikiki, but not right in the middle of it, the Regency Ala Wai condo is worth a good look. 454 Namahana St sits on the corner of that street and Ala Wai Blvd, a block from where Kalakaua and Kuhio Avenues split.
This position at the start of the district's main strip places you in walking distance to almost all of the attractions of those 2 avenues, as well as those on the Ala Moana side of Waikiki, to the west. You are at the crossroads of Waikiki's main areas here.
The answer to the big question is that you're a 10 to 15 minute walk to Fort Derussy Beach. A little further from the sands than most parts of Waikiki, but this beach is much larger and much less crowded than those on the eastern end of Kalakaua Ave.
