About Oahu real estate statistics

Kaneohe condos located on the Windward side of Oahu is characterized from north to south by a determination to keep the concrete to a minimum. If there is an urban center, though, it would be the town of Kaneohe.

It is nothing close to the cityscape of Honolulu, but the condos in Kaneohe are the one and only concentration of multi-story residences on this section of the Island. You'll find the highest of these buildings in Kaneohe Town, located in the northwestern corner of the town's central area.

Condos in Kaneohe like the Haiku Hale and Hale Anaole, with 15 and 13 floors respectively, are perfect examples of the structures here, which have the look and feel you think of in an urban condominium. These are probably the most affordable of properties on this coast as well. If that isn't your preference in real estate, there's still a lot more to consider.

Further north in the astonishingly green Temple Valley are Kaneohe condo properties of, at most, 2 to 3 stories. The beauty of this retreat from the rest of the Island is appropriately protected by the low-impact of these often wooden structures. Surrounded by the mountains and greenery, it's a very different experience from the developed Kaneohe that sits a very few miles away.

Cooler temperatures, higher rainfall and the natural separation of the geography have made this valley a place for Kaneohe condo buyers to come when a haven from the outside world is needed, or just desired.

The third and final environment is the dominant geographical feature of this area, Kaneohe Bay. The real estate potential of the bay has always been clear and it now boasts waterside residences such as Poha Kea Point and Makani Kai Marina, positioned to enjoy not just the view, but the bay itself.

Some of these residences include their own personal docks, fulfilling the dreams of many who've wished for such an integrated life on the cusp of this awe-inspiring ocean. Don't just live by it, live ON it.

Though Kaneohe town is known for its greater concrete sprawl than the rest of Windward Oahu, that certainly isn't the whole story. You can live within that and reap the benefits of the nearby shopping like Windward Mall or take in the natural pleasures like the deep valleys and the richness of the bay's enduring power. It's choices like that that make the decision to live here very easy.
