The Polynesian Shores in Kahana is an oceanfront community, the nearest residences only about 20 yards from the ocean. The three buildings are laid out in a V-shape, with the base on the inland side and the two sides extending toward the coastline.
The one to two bedroom condos have interiors of 555 to 855 Sq Ft with one lanai exterior. The two bedroom floor plans all have a loft that holds one of the bedrooms and a bathroom. In all, there are forty-four one bedrooms and eight two bedrooms.
Each unit has one assigned, uncovered parking stall to use. Ceiling fans are in both the living areas and the bedrooms for cooling on the warmer days.
There is an on-site laundry room that uses a special card payment system (cards are purchased at kiosk inside the facility). The buildings are all walk-ups, so there are no elevators in the complex.
Many of the condos have peekaboo to completely unobstructed views of the ocean.
Amenities & Things To Do The large, open courtyard in the middle is a green space for residents to use and enjoy, with BBQs positioned so you can cook out and eat together with the Pacific right in front of you. The swimming pool and sundeck is here as well, so the same view is available from your lounge chair.
While the shoreline is rocky here, it’s just a mile north to Kahana Beach, a less busy beach only because parking isn’t very plentiful. It’s known for the calmer conditions due to a protective reef off of it, so you can swim here regularly. The flatter waves make it a popular place to put your paddleboard in as well.
A closer option, though smaller in size, is Pohaku Park, which is also north of you less than ½ mile. It combines a nice shaded green space with a beach below it. The shoreline is rocky in places, but swimmers can get in here for some exercise and leisure time with no problem. The park is well-known for sea turtle sightings in and out of the water as well, so you have a good chance of seeing these beloved animals up close while you’re here.

We exclude Leasehold data from this market analysis because Leasehold properties do not compare with regular Fee Simple properties.
We use median instead of the average because it depicts more accurately a central tendency to the sample size. Example: Take 5 numbers - 3, 5, 7, 9, 21. The median is 7 (the middle number) and the average is 9 (sum of all divided by 5).
We count days on market from listing date through closing date.
