The Esplanade condos in Hawaii Kai is actually 4 buildings, an entire complex, that was a leader in Hawaii's lifestyle residences. Built in 1973, it is still the only high-rise directly on the marina. The height advantage of the Esplanade condos gives residents a much more sweeping view of the waters than the single-family homes that make up the rest of the shoreline.
