The Miller Terrace is an unassuming looking residence, just on the mauka side of Vineyard Blvd from Queen's Medical Center. Its footprint, vertically and horizontally, isn't large, just the 3 stories and 12 total units. Still, don't judge this book by its cover.
The condos themselves are uniform, 694 sq ft that hold 2BR/1BA within those dimensions. The lanais is something else entirely, however. There isn't anything uniform about those.
We should start by saying that some of the 2nd floor units do have more traditional lanais on them, measuring a nice 100 sq ft off their interiors. Even so, that's a minority here. If we start on 1st floor you'll see something exceptional, especially in a Downtown walk-up. It isn't just the fact that you have a fenced-in backyard space. It's the realization that you have an actual front yard, too! Incredible spaces you never expected in this urban setting, but here they are. There's more, too.
The upstairs units that remain have something special, too. It's true these condos have no lanais on them. Instead, they have rooftop lanais, spanning 240 sq ft in them, a space under open skies that you can use for daytime fun or nighttime relaxation.
You have views of the city lights brightening your evening time, the Koolau Mountains impressive green face and Punchbowl's proud edifice.
Fortunately time away from that is minimized by the fact that you can get on H1, East or West, within little more than a minute or two from your location. Downtown is 5 to 10 minutes drive or just a few minutes more if you catch the bus.
Ala Moana Center is an easy drive when you live here and you can count on the same for
Ala Moana Beach Park, right next to it.
Kakaako is even closer, a source of dining and entertainment that is already excellent and is still growing.
It's a good life in this building. Back AND Front Yards? Rootop Lanai? Whoever heard of those on a walk-up? You have now - and you know you can find them at Miller Terrace.
