About Mililanu Mauka Condos & Townhomes
The townhomes in Mililani Mauka is located in central Oahu, comprised of two sections, Mililani Town and Mililani Mauka. Mililani Mauka is the newer area, with development that began in the early 1990s. This is a well-planned suburban community that features wide roads with pedestrian-friendly lanes and sidewalks, and neighborhoods featuring attractive single-family homes, townhouses and condominiums. Parks, community recreation centers and pools are located throughout the neighborhoods, along with walking/jogging paths and golf courses nearby. Mililani Mauka, named because it’s on the mountain (mauka) side of the H-2 freeway, offers a convenient location in the middle of the island. Depending on traffic, it’s a 30-45 minute commute into downtown honolulu, 20-30 minute drive to Pearl Harbor, 5 minutes from Schofield Army Base, and 20 minutes to Oahu’s North Shore beaches,

Aside from the central location, the Mililani Mauka townhomes residents enjoy easy access to the major shopping centers in Mililani that are home to stores like WalMart, Ross, City Mill and Starbucks, as well as grocery stores, drug stores, fitness centers, a theater,restaurants and a well-appointed medical center. Directly in Mililani Mauka, The Gateway shopping center is home to Long’s drug store, casual restaurants and a gas station. This is also home to one of Oahu’s best public school districts, which is one reason it’s become such a hot spot for young families. The lush tropical vegetation and amenities that come with living in a newer development add to its appeal.

On the whole, the condos and townhouses in Mililani Mauka are moderate in their size and design. Townhouses range from 1-3 bedrooms and from 700-1,100 sq ft. Some offer nice mountain views and many of the townhouse communities have lovely garden and courtyard areas. Most were built between 1993 and 2006, and the newest complexes, like Nohona at Mililani Mauka, offer modern amenities like stainless steel appliances, front-load washer/dryers and Coriander countertops. Some townhouse communities, like Havens of ii Vistas, are gated. The nice thing about properties here is that they come with parking stalls included. Some offer a private, enclosed parking garage with each unit, while others come with parking stalls that may be covered or uncovered. In Mililani Mauka, townhouses include at least one assigned parking stall, many come with additional spaces in the open parking lots, and the complexes also offer guest parking, All of this is a welcome improvement from the situation in Waikiki and Honolulu, where parking is rare and usually comes at a premium price.

Mililani Mauka is a great place for first time buyers and for anyone looking for a modern community on Oahu. Well-thought-out urban planning placed neighborhoods, shopping centers and schools in close proximity to one another and in an organized, suburban setting. The townhouses offer some variety in size and level of design elements, but the vast majority are moderately-size and reasonably-priced. Nice tropical weather and the variety of opportunities available to enjoy time outside with friends and family make Mililani Mauka townhouses prime real estate on Oahu.
