Maluhia Kai is in the Holualoa Bay area of Kona, about ¾ mile east of the coastline.
The two and three bedroom condos’ interiors measure from 901 to 1308 Sq Ft with two or three lanais on their exterior.
There are three basic floor plans:
- 2BR, single-level.
- 3BR with a loft that serves as the third bedroom. Loft has a bathroom and closet space.
- 3BR with a large, enclosed ‘loft’ that is on the floor below the main condo level. This lower loft is the third bedroom and has a bathroom, closet space and a lanai.
At least one of the lanais is always private, accessible only from one of the bedrooms. Each residence has one or two assigned parking stalls, the majority of them uncovered. There are no elevators in this complex, every building is a walk-up. Most of the condos have a view of the ocean from them.
Amenities & Things To Do Magic Sands Beach is under two miles away, where you can enjoy wading or swimming near shore or get out to the swells and do some surfing. Just be aware the sand comes and goes with the tide cycle so it’ll be a rockier shoreline at certain times.
Honl’s Beach is in the opposite direction, about 2 ½ miles to the north. Most days you won’t have much company here, so you can stake out your place on the sands pretty easily. Boogie boarding was invented on this beach, so this is the place to get in and do some on the Kona coast. The rocky bed discourages swimming, so, if you do proceed, make sure you know the waters.
Nearer to home, ¾ mile north of you, is the
Walua Trail North Trailhead. The Walua Trail is a 6 ½ (roundtrip) paved path that many here use for walking and jogging. You have ocean views along the way and a lot of other beautiful scenery as well.
