Punchbowl Place is a building that demands another look when you go by, its modern style and step-down levels of the top floors present an arresting image to the eye. The structure seems to come out of the hillside, the opposite end raised far off of the sloping ground by soaring columns.

Most of us have never seen this, however, since you'd have to come up to this neighborhood right up against Punchbowl. There's just no reason to, unless you live in this bedroom community or visiting someone that does.

That's a big reason why many love it up here, away from the traffic that gets more and more crowded every year and the buildings higher. Even as the towers have grown you remain above them, on this raised lookout, enjoying the assets of higher ground.

Inside your modern home, you live in units of 1BR/1BA with 386 sq ft and those that have 2BR/1BA that comprise of 562, 569 or 581 sq ft layouts. The dimensions grow once you step onto the lanais where you have 162 to 180 sq ft all your own. Out there your vantage point puts the cityscape before you, its lights providing a warm glow to the soothing Hawaii evenings.

For the daytime enjoyment you have a green lawn, well maintained, with bbq's and picnic tables that's shaded by trees with huge canopies. A great place for time with friends and family on a weekend.

Like a quick commute? It's 3 or 4 blocks to get to Pali Highway, then take it straight into the main section of Downtown. If it takes more than 10 minutes, you're wondering what's taking so long. A short stroll will take you to the bus stop where you can catch the #6 there as well. No transfers needed.

H1 in both directions is an even easier drive, with the westbound side off of Punchbowl and eastbound straight off of Vineyard.

It's hard to argue with an arrangement like this. Awesome views, a real neighborhood around you, with the career and shopping/dining choices right there, too. Come up and take a look.
