Kahuine is a new two tower condo project coming to Our Kakaako on a 3.66 acre lot, which will include a mix of market rate (38.3% and affordable units.
We anticipate sales will commence in the near future with possible construction starting late 2023 / early 2024 and completion in 2026.
Kahuine will be located in Our Kakaako and will be made of two structures:

120 affordable for sale units.

Total: 398 units.
Kahuine will also offer 12 live / work lofts for sale, bringing the total number of units to 859, which will be a mix of 1, 2 and 3 bedrooms.
The project will also have 35,000 sq ft of commercial spaces on the ground level and a 9 story parking structure with 1,000+ stalls.
People Behind the Project
The land, where Kahuine is to be built, is owned by Kamehameha Schools and they have teamed up with Stanford Karr
to be the developer of Kahuine. Stanford Karr is a highly respected Hawaii based developer and they have previously developed 3 other projects in Kakaako, including Keauhou Place
, a property in Our Kakaako.
A total of 9 lots are to be developed with residential high-rise towers in Our Kakaako with a large amount of commercial on ground levels, and so far 3 projects are completed in the 1st phase: The Collection
, Keauhou Place
and 400 Keawe
. The 2nd phase includes the remaining 5 structures: Alia
, Kahuine and 2 projects that are TBD.

Affordable units for sale
Will be available for households earning between 100% to 140% of the area median income (AMI), as determined by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Affordable for Rent
Will be available for those earning between 30% to 100% of the AMI.
